Vehicle types

We provide various different types of quality vehicles as follows: -

Saloon car

This is our standard type vehicle which can carry up to 3 passengers, 3 suitcases and 3 handluggage. We use only modern comfortable cars and as often as possible we use Mercedes as standard.

Small MPV

This type of vehicle can carry up to 5 passengers maximum, however, we try to keep it to just 4 passengers to ensure passenger comfort. It would normally be a Kia Sedona, Ford Galaxy or Chrysler Grand Voyager.

Large MPV

This type of vehicle can carry up to 8 passengers with 8 suitcases and 8 handluggage. It would normally be Mercedes Viano/Vito or VW Transporter. We try to provide these vehicles with leather upholstery and air-conditioning as standard.

Super luxury car

This type of vehicle is our top service, we would normally only carry maximum 3 passengers, 3 suitcases & 3 handluggage. It would normally be Rolls Royce or Bentley with all of the refined extras you would expect from such luxury.

Minibus / minicoach

This is an example of the type of minicoach/minibus that we use on our cruise transfers. They can carry up to 16 passengers, 16 suitcases and 16 handluggage. We use only modern comfortable vehicles and as often as possible we use Mercedes minicoaches/minibuses as standard.

Mobility and accessibility

Ports Direct can carry passengers that are completely wheelchair bound through the private service only — simply choose mobility vehicle as the vehicle option during the booking process. We do not offer the mobility service when you book a shared service.

Lightweight and foldable wheelchairs, folding walking frames and lightweight scooters can be carried for a charge on either service. See the FAQ for the current rates and the scooter size limits, or call us on 0843 0843 003 to add items to your booking.

Larger groups

Ports Direct or our sister company Coach Direct can cater for groups of all sizes. Please call Ports Direct in these instances for a quotation.
